Dear Rich,

Thanks for the reminder.

Reid Brandon at EIMAC sent me the complete poop sheet
on the 3CPX1500A7 and in review just this morning it
says firstly, that the filament circuit should float (it does),
and that the cathode needs a 3 minute minimum warmup
before applying anode or drive voltages, but says
nothing about ramping up the filament to avoid sag.

As far as the other parameters, EIMAC says that the
maximum Anode voltage should be 7500 volts, with
a maximum dissipation of 1500 watts, and a maximum plate
current of 1.0 amperes, but it can peak up to 15 amperes!

This is mostly for pulsed service, and accordingly, the amplifier
being built will only run 3800 volts and the filament will be
just a tad under 5.0, like 4.95.

Thanks for the reminder.
