Hello,

I figured I'd let everyone know how far along I was on starting the transformer shop. I have everything here now to finish the large winding lathe I started. All the quotes is in from the different manufacturers. We were set up to buy steel from Tempel Steel and Magnetic Metals. The wire will be coming from several vendors as you have to play the copper market with it. EIS will be the primary vendor supplying the wire, varnish, hardware, and paper. C-cores will be available but will need to be quoted per each application. Our prices are approximately 17% less than Dahl on the large transformers, and more on the smaller ones. Quantity orders get better discounts. We will offer transformers and chokes up to 3500 watts. Where I'm handicapped, that size is about as large as I can handle without help. By December, we should be winding as scheduled. I will first be offering some screen/bias transformers with heater and control windings included. The screen will have taps for 315 Vac, 275 Vac, and 236 vac. That will give 445 Vdc, 389 Vdc, and 334 Vdc. They will have a 90 Vac bias winding, 12 vac control winding, and 6 Vac heater winding. Let me know if I can be of help.

Best & 73's

Will Matney
