Chris,

The Q of the circuit is not a derived value.  You select the operating Q
you
want to use and then calculate the values of capacitance and inductance
for
the Pi circuit.  A value of 10 to 15 is usually selected as a balance
between good harmonic suppression and low circulating RF current in the
tank
circuit.
