Just found a graph on the Danish power resistor manufacturer Danotherm A/S website that plots the temperature rise for tubular vitreous resistors as a function of power. Their resistors are rated for a temperature rise of 350 C at 100 % power, and 75% power correponds to a 300 C rise. This may explain the blisters and smells mentioned in an earlier posting. 73/ Karl-Arne SM0AOM -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Anti-Virus.
