You are making an apples to oranges comparison. The issue isn't the
current carrying capability of the 8877 grid, it is the power dissipation
of the grid. A capacitor has a power factor of ~0.0. Kinetic electrons
striking the grid are a different animal than displacement current
in a capacitor (e.g. charge moving back and forth in conductors).
