Hello, Mike -- A changed value grid current meter shunt R will not make
the meter read backwards. My guess is that either the Titan's
multimeter has become seriously possessed by the devil or that there's
something peculiar going on with the tubes. Typically, cathode-heater
leakage causes a reverse grid-I indication.
