A wee bit off the direction the conversation has gone in this thread, but
I've always liked this amp. Here is an L4B that a friend of mine converted
to 2 x 4CX1500B grounded grid many years ago:

Was an easy mod that worked great. It's still on the air with the original
tubes in it. We used to speculate on whether the screen grids had vaporized
years ago and the tubes had mutated into some strange triode.
