Hi Guys,

I'm not out to promote this guys tubes, but I figured I
would at least bring them to the attention of anyone looking
for a set of 8875's for their MLA-2500. Myself, I'm going
the conversion route. I don't have the item number handy
but go to E-Bay and do a search for Eimac 8875's and you'll
find them.

This brings up an interesting point that may already be
obvious to you more astute amplifier folks out there!

If you're going to sell your MLA-2500, SELL IT WITHOUT TUBES
and then sell the tubes separately. The amp will bring $350
to $450 depending on condition and the tubes will bring $400
to $800 (or more) depending on condition and the
"desperateness" of the buyer. The guy selling the tubes on
E-Bay just sold his tubeless MLA-2500 amp for $403 about 3
hours ago!

It seems a little cheesey to me but I guess more power to
you if you want to go to the trouble of splitting things up.
A complete MLA-2500 seems to go for around $500-$600 so
removing the tubes could net you another $300-$500!

73, Bob K6ZZ
