I'd be glad to count them. Here they are for the IC-756PRO III:

ACC 1 pins:

RTTY       RTTY keying signal
SEND      Keys external amplifier
MOD       Modulator input for data modes
AF          Audio line output
SQLS     Squelch output
13.8v      Supplies 13.8v when radio is on
ALC       ALC input from amplifier

ACC2 pins:

8v         Regulated 8v output
BAND   Band voltage output
TRV      Activates transverter

I have omitted some duplicate (parallel) pins shared by both connectors.

That is ten jacks. Arrange them in two rows of five, spaced about 1/2 inch 
apart and they will fit in an area slightly larger than a typical business 
card.

Small enough? There is plenty of room on the rear panel if you would want 
them further apart or in a single row.

The "square yardage" you requested is about .0035   :-)
