I cannot agree on that, I washed my Collins 51S1 and my Drake Twins
2 or 3 times in the dishwasher without any problem so far.
The only parts I removed before were the meters.
The Drake I own now for 32 years and the Collins for 20 years when I bought
it used from "Deutsche Welle".
All rigs are still working excellent.

1. Old xfmrs that are not completely potted
will be destroyed in the dishwasher.

2. Even PWD's will be destroyed because there
is always one little pinhole in the tar.

3. All meters will be destroyed.

4. Probably all potentiometers will be
    destroyed.

5. Aluminum panels that are not coated
    will tarnish and spot.
