The old fashioned aluminum 'lytics are still available, in 105 deg C 
rating, in much smaller packages than they used to be. If you use the 
solder/snap-in type you can get bargains, like the
CDE 381LX471M450A052.
470 uF @ 450 VDC, size is 35 x 50 mm, $8.58 each in small quantities, 
less than $8 for 10 or more.

Mouser and Newark both carry this and take credit cards.

Newark Electronics also has this:
United Chem Com has similar to the Sprague 36D series now, 560 uF 
@450 VDC with screws, $13.79 each or <$12 for 10 or more

Mouser doesn't have 105 deg rated with screws but does offer the 85 
deg C rated caps that way.

Doing a HVPS with 'lytics is still a budget way to come up with a lot 
of stored energy, compared to paper/oil capacitors. The long term 
life isn't as good, however, as you kow.
