Mr. ____?:  A 3-500Z grid to filament short can be produced by  
exerting a lateral force of 10g for approx 50-seconds --- provided  
that 5.8v is applied  of he filament.  There are a number of aircraft  
that are capable of such, but few pilots.
Another method is a VHF parasitic oscillation whilst using a 3kV to  
4kV anode supply that does not have a peak current limiting (glitch)  
resistor in the HV+ lead or some means of grid-fusing.
