Larry,
You can pick up the time base and vertical amp plug-ins off ebay for about $20
to $25 each to use it as a regular scope. If I recall, that is a 100 MHz scope
without storage. To convert it to a spectrum analyzer, you'll need a spectrum
analyzer plug-in like you mentioned, and a tracking generator plug-in. I forget
the part number for it though.
