I recall that QST had an article on a 2 tube amplifier using the UE572 tube that was made for hams. I think the article was about 1957 or so. Gee, the years seem to melt together. The front panel had a tear drop meter. That was the first amp using that tube that I know of and they were advertised in 73 by the manufacturer.
