I know you haven't gotten an answer to your exact question, my apologies. I
have seen data that questions the Mirage amplifiers, so I would ask specific
questions before I purchased one of those. I know Elecrafters has a good
reputation, they offer a 100W kit for their rigs that I believe can be
installed in a seperate box and be used with other transceivers. I don't know
its frequency range, though. Henry Amplifier makes 100W amplifiers for HF,
UHF/VHF, but they seem pricy for 100 watt output.
I am sure when Steve, Tom and some of the other amplifier guys get a chance,
you will get a true answer to your question. In the mean time, you might look
at Henry and Ameritron.
