Bill, no doubt a fuse is more reliable than any single part in an electronic
grid protection circuit, I won't argue that, but I think as far as "most
suitable" for the job, the electronic circuit is better than the fuse in that
regard. The grid protection circuit in the Ameritron AL-1500 reacts to grid
overload faster than any fuse would!! 73 Lou
