You are missing the point, Ed. It matters very much because some
fundamental physics is involved and needs to be understood by everyone
concerned. 

It obviously is not an issue that can be easily solved or proven by
one side to the other, but that does not mean the discussion should
stop. 

If you're tired of it, just delete. Others such as myself are indeed
interested. I find it fascinating that what appears to be such a
simple issue is so hard to resolve.
