The MRF 150's have superb 3rd and 5th order IMD figures, especially when you
use something like 100 watts output per device.
A good companion Class A driver is the Philips BLF175 in Application note
NCO8705. However very few transceivers have Class A transverter ouput or driver
stages, the Elecraft K2 has class A drivers. This sollution is only
recommended if you want to be a perfectionist. Generating as much splatter as
you can seems to be the norm these days on the bands with the abundance of
poor commercial ham radio equipment.!
