It does depend on the frequency. I wouldn't use a "UHF" (badly
mis-named) connector at UHF or indeed at anything above about 50Mhz.
I do use 7/16 DIN connectors in my feedlines. Not because I need to or
because I want to show off, but because they were already fitted to some
of the surplus lengths of Andrew Heliax I bought. Otherwise above 50Mhz
it is N connectors for me at usual amateur power levels.
