Figure it this way - 'How long are you aiming to keep this amp for?' 5 years? - You probably don't need to worry 10 years? - you should get at least one spare set of output devices - whether they're tube or transistors. more than 10 years? - spare output devices. Does it use a microprocessor? If yes, at least one spare. Does it have a separate memory? If so, again at least one spare. Any special ICs? If so, again at least one spare. Am I a distrustful cynic?
