For those  who really care, perhaps I should have said they can be  directly 
replaced in a "HAM" amp with no modifications if the height difference  is no 
an issue.  Directly "replaceable" would actually mean all  parameters are 
exactly the same and with the size difference that would be  untrue.  SO thanks 
for pointing that out. BESIDES.......THE TUBES ARE  ALREADY SOLD!    end.  73
