Hi OM Morrie.

Time for a serious answer:

Connect only the fillament for 6 hours or so and use household blower to cool
the tube. Check with hot and cold fillaments for shorts.
Then connect the tube into the amplifier, raise the anode voltage by 25% every
4 hours till maximum. NOTE: gassy tubes will flash over!
After that push the PTT but no RF load for 15 minutes, followed by a 15 minutes
cool down. Repeat. After that adust the IDLE current.
Play at half power the first 4 hours. After that try full load.

I hope this helps,

73, de Kees - pa7two

Saute in olive oil and garlic until brown, add salt and pepper to taste.
Smoother with onions and serve with a garnish of parsley.
