Hugh, I recently sold a bunch of amp parts to a fellow ham which included a
very sensitive microswitch with a vane on it which was used for that exact
purpose. 73, Dan, N5AR

Thanks for all the replies, public and private regarding 8877 blower
requirement. I received plenty of good information and gained a better
understanding of how to properly size a blower.
I'm going to use the 2C610 (same as the 4C442) that I have for the W6PO
amp. I'll use the smaller 4C440 blower for the single 3CX800 amp that I
am rebuilding.

I was thinking about rigging up some sort of sensor to disable the amp
if the blower was to stop. Maybe a small vane on a pivot that when air
is flowing, blocks an LED from shining into a photo diode (ANDed into
the G3SEK interlock circuitry). The electrical circuitry is simple
enough. Any suggestions on the mechancial implementation ?
