Its more complex than just drive power Lou.
The 572B is rated at 50W drive per tube in typical ICAS operation. It is also
rated at 250 ma Ip and 50 ma Ig per tube. The SB-200 manual states to increase
drive until 500 ma Ip is reached; it says nothing about slamming it right off
with 100+ W.
How often do you reduce drive to stay within those ratings?
Ive had as much as 900W out on 6M with a new set of Chinese tubes at 100W
drive. All that does is hurt the tubes as well as stress the PS.

There is no need to go ugly if the SB-200 is run within the tube ratings
and
not overdriven as usually is the case
Is an SB-200 overdriven with 100 watts? Lou
