A possible source for high power tubes and cavities is the LPTV (Low Power
Television) market. These folks used tetrodes with plate dissipations in the
3-5 KW range (UHF examples are the Burle 9017 and Thompson/Thales TH347),
although, like the Big Boys, most have migrated to solid state.

There is a Yahoo group of these folks at
_http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/cbaloop/_
(http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/cbaloop/) .

In Europe, the EME boys snatched up virtually every TH347 and cavity when
those stations went solid state.
