The Peter Dahl transformers are being wound by MagCap in MA. I just
picked up a 3750 KVA transformer from MagCap direct, for a GS35B
project.

Someone said that Harbach, who bought Perter Dahl's designs and name
rights, will be winding their own transformers in the future. But this
is hearsay and unsubstantiated.

There are a number of companies making HV transformers. I'm not aware
of very many Hipersil manufacturers. Alpha amplifiers has Tranex in
Colorado Springs winding transformers for them. Magnespec Inc. in Los
Angeles used to wind transformers for Henry Radio.

Go to maps.google.com and click on the "Find Businesses" tab. Type in
"transformer" and the city you live in. You could also type in
"magnetics".

Who is building high voltage transformers this day. I know Peter Dahl
has
been taken over, but are they actually winding transformers? Any other
reliable builders?
