Thats correct and Ive yet to see one that would not do that power even
on 10M.
Call me old school but I prefer tubes that you can beat on and do stupid
things to at 3AM in a contest and survive.

Protection circuits are fine but they have their own quirks at times.
Replacement cost is a concern. The 3CX1200A7 isnt as popular as the 8877
and that has to be considered. Having a new spare tube is always a good
idea as its going to be better than your 401K in 10 years.
