Hi all,

Well, I finally finished the godzillion solder connections inside my
SB-220 project. Now, I've got to find some tubes.

While I look for the tubes, are there any safe, approved, and
effective tests I can do on the tubeless SB-220 that will show me any
errors I have made before I cook several hundred dollars worth of
tubes?

I couldn't resist plugging it in and turning it on, but of course all
this got me was a couple of very weak meter backlights and the fan
started running. I clipped a voltmeter on the anode leads and the HV
is running 5500 V, but I figured this was because it was unloaded. If
you click the SSB switch, it over-ranges my meter, so I think that
much is working.

What else can I test without tubes?

Thanks,
Jeff
