It will certainly increase the power headroom available. Using that power
to safely run at the legal limit on RTTY in a contest without risk of
failure is fine. Using it to exceed the legal limit is a serious violation
of good sportsmanship, and of the spirit of ham radio. Somehow, I suspect
the author of this article has the latter in mind, not the former.
