Steve's right ... IMHO PCB junque warnings rate right up there with Gore's 
"Global Warming".. and cellphone towers are going to kill ya --
I have used many pole pegs, which I took out of their oil bath steel 
canisters,  washed with solvent and allowed to dry,  No center tap, so 
bridge rectifying, etc.....Can only remember one letting the brown smoke 
out!
