I don't intend to start a Radio Shack bashing thread, but another of
their products to avoid is their coax connectors, especially the elbow
types. I once burned one out on ten meters, causing a $400 repair bill
to my commercially built amp.
I learned two lessons:
1. Don't use RS connectors at high power levels. Amphenol only for me.
2. Build my own amps. If I built it, I can repair it.
