I would add that now. That will greatly reduce the input impedance at VHF and
may be all you need to stop the oscillation. A simple LC parallel resonant tank
with a Q of three or more should do it. If you want to get a bit fancier, a
pi-network would allow exact impedance matching, but with just the simple LC
your input impedance won't be far from 50 ohms anyway.
