First off, thanks to those who continue to offer insight.experience both on and
off list.

That being said, I finally got the time to do some poking around, and boy does
it need a cleaning inside and out. The PO advised that when it went belly up
some 2 years ago, he pushed it into his garage and left it sit since he had
other amps at hand.

An error on my part was intially reporting that the front panel does is not
have the 10m bandswitch position marked. Upon a closer look it does.

A quick test between the HV connector and ground showed well over 100k
resistance with the reading going upward. I presume this woul be the filter cap
charging. I also noted that primary terminal #1 on the HV xformer looked a bit
overheated at some point. The insulation near the connector is brittle and
crumbly.

The RF deck interior looks very good despite quite a bit of dust which I
promptly removed. An interesting item of note it that the coil that comes from
the roller inductor is secured to the fixed cap bank behind the 8 DC blocking
caps. The manual I have shows this coil attached in front of the DC caps. I
wonder if this makes a difference, or possibly is a production update of some
kind.

Stil have not applied and AC yet. I was considering firing it up on 120 instead
of 240 the first time as a safety feature. Does anyone see any issues with that
thought?? This would be sans tube of course?
