W9AC's axioms on amplifiers:
!) The more I want it, the more expensive it is; and
2) The more I want it, the scarcer it becomes.
My best amp finds occur when I'm not even thinking about it. That's when
the ads seem to appear in large numbers. The moment I begin looking for a
particular amp, supply dries up and what little becomes available, costs too
much for me to justify. When I purchased the 86, I didn't really want it but
decided to try one. By the way, I think the 86 is the best looking amp ever
made. The gray Lexan front panel with anodized aluminum trim is gorgeous --
wish they carried that tradition all the way into the new 9500!
