[Amps] Blower source

I have been looking for a decent blower for use in my project without paying 
through the nose , is there a source I should turn to or what has been used 
that I may be able to adapt, I was looking for an automotive blower out of a 
heater core , but cant seem to find any pics to see if I can make it work 
......any ideas ?
