The way to address this issue that all AL-82, 1500 and 1200's have is to remove
the step-start relay that comes in the unit from the factory and build a real
step-start. I have to do this on a weekly basis. The factory step-start will
not last and does not work very long before it welds the original relay. You
don't have enough room inside the amp to build a decent unit so I build them
outboard and use the outboard unit to turn the amp on and off. You can discuss
this and talk about it forever but the reality is you will need to build a real
step-start in order to solve this problem.

Take the cover off and look for obvious damage and then start from the fuse
and keep checking until yo find it.
Id also pull the tubes and try another set of fuses if the easy steps dont
work. The AL-82 is well known for letting loose for several reasons.
