Exactly how did you use this amp at these power levels? I hope you're
not one of those LIDS who cheats by running higher than legal power.

&&& Well, he`s going to need at least 1900 w pep out...to compensate for
just 1 db of feed-line loss. 1900 to 3800w is just a lousy 3db anyway.

&&& why is it that obtaining a lousy 3db with a bigger amp is a no-no.... but
obtaining 3-12 db with bigger ants, higher ants, stacked ants, lower loss coax,
etc is just hunk-dory. Maybe he doesn`t have the real estate for a 4-square
on 160m.
Maybe he doesn`t have room or $$ for a large 80m array..or a 40m yagi. The
3-el 40m yag will eat the 4 x squares for breakfast, and totally decimate a
single
vertical or dipole.

IMO, with on the noisy lower bands, I don`t think anybody really cares how one
get`s his
ERP. Trying to have a rag chew on the low bands..esp during summer
months...is no fun
on ssb.
