I am late in this, but see no one has mentioned it. This is KISS to the extreme. Connect a flexible cable to the shaft of the capacitor and let it wrap around the shaft. When the shaft has turned enough in one direction, put a stop on the end of the flexible cable so that it cannot turn anymore.
