I'm not an expert on the medical device side of this, but there are two
fundamental concerns. First, is RF, and what matters is where your
ANTENNAS are, not where your transmitter is. Frequency also matters --
at what frequency is the wiring in the unit, and it's connection(s) to
your body a good RX antenna? The answer there, of course, is at VHF and
or UHF. Second is the MAGNETIC FIELD from a big power transformer, like
the power supply for your power amp. That's good old 60 Hz, and the
defrib would be sensitive to that if it contained wiring in a loop (poor
design). .So I suggest that you check with the mfr of the device with
those thoughts in mind. I have heard in the past that these issues are
not a great concern for HF, but better safe than sorry.
