Takes 100 watts for 1 kW output, IMD meets FCC specs.
It's a 1 kW amp, if you want to run 1001 watts, it's not for you.

The specs say nothing about typical drive, just a maximum.
And the FCC has no specific IMD regulations but maybe the loonies that run
your state do their own thing.
