I once did an engineering change for an aircraft manufacturer that was no
more than leaving the paint off one chassis part and going with bare
chromate finish. Their drawings are done to MIl Spec equivalent.
The cost, which was purely a drawing change, was a cool $5000. They paid it
with no complaints.
And that's why Ameritron drawings are not Mil Spec. Would you prefer they
were?
