It looks like I signed up for this email group at the right time!
I was about to order a Molex connector and the pins at Mouser to replace the
24 pin connector on the back of my IC-2KL (P/N 538-03-06-1241 and
538-02-06-1132).
An old message on this list by Joe W4TV mentions that this connector is made
by Molex; but now it seems like I better use some caution ordering them.
Does anyone here know for sure if those parts would be a good replacement?
Thanks, 73,
Erik - K5WW

I've ordered Amp and several types of Molex from Mouser. None of them fit.

This is an obvious case of brain flatulence. I have ordered 4 different
part numbers from Mouser for the *pins* only that fit the power
connectors
on Icom and other rigs. The standard 6 hole kind. I still don't have
the
correct size.
Are you certain they're Molex branded connectors? Often these are
confused
with AMP/TE Connectivity "Mate 'N Lok." Mouser, DigiKey, AvNet, and
Newark
will have these.
