Jerry,

I learned the opposite when I rolled a 1000 pf ceramic vacuum cap off the
bench onto my foot then the floor. Current flow went to maximum when
reinstalled.

There is a simple solution, applying the Law of Capacitor Plate Assembly Mechanical Reversibility: Drop it again, off the same bench, onto your same foot, but rotated into such a position that it will land on its other side!
