Since a replacement filter cap is about $450 for the purists the condition
of the original has to be considered....they are rapidly failing these days.
The later DX and SX bring a premium due to 160 being added, a beefier
transformer in both versions, and a long production life.
The very few straight 77's Ive seen in the past few years either go for
$1500-2000 to someone just wanting a big amp to $3000 and up to a collector
for a mint original to show off with his vintage rig.

Subject: [Amps] Alpha PA 77 market value
Greetings to the Forum,
I would ask the opinion of anyone here for a fair market value of a PA
77,
with good out put and excellent cosmetics.A low to high spread would be
great.
Also, any comments on the amplifier itself will be useful. I know, it's an
oldie...!
Tnx in advance.
