Yes, the meter cover snaps off easily. Grab top of meter pull out and the
cover pops off. Loosen the center screw about an 1/8 of a turn, That should
stop the sticking.

I see Steve got a few good answers to his question.
May I ask a similar one in the vein of meter amps.
The meter in my SB200 often sticks at the extreme left side of the meter.
A simple tap of the finger gets it to start working normal again but it gets
annoying
to have to be constantly tapping the meter to get its reading. The problem is
probably
mechanical, that there is something "grabbing" the meter when it hits the peg
on
the
left. I guess my question is whether the plastic case can be popped off without
breaking
it so i can get a better look at it?
Anyone else ever have this problem with an SB200 whether you consider it and amp
or just the driver for your real amp?

 Hello all,

Looking for analog meters f/u/w the current amp I am
 building, and for
any in the future. I have done quite a bit of
 searching on the Internet
and really haven't found quite what I think I need.
A matching pair of 1 ma movement meters is all I'm looking
 for.
The old standby 'Weston type' round meters are now
 considered 'antiques'
and come with silly prices attached. Surplus houses
 don't have anything
that will quite do it for me, either. Weird looking,
 wrong movement,
only one, really tiny or VERY large, etc.
I can get some direct from China for $4, but I can guess how
 that will
 work out.
Meters for commercial/industrial use are hundreds of
 dollars.

Should I really expect to pay $50, and up, for a 'Modutec'
 style of meter?

I can't imagine the market for reasonably priced meters has
 dried up
that much, or costs have risen that much.
