Hi Dick: Thanks for the RTTY contest Q's over the years!

I owned a 2000A at one time not to mention many other amps over the
years. If you run it at 1500 watts RTTY contesting, it will over heat
after a while, about 10-15 minutes as I recall. You either let it cool
down or back off the power.

The only amps I have found that will truly do 1500 watts of RTTY
continuously are Alphas. I currently have a 9500 and in the past have
had a 91b. Any of the late model Alphas will do what you want. Either
avoid everything else or be satisfied with reduced power.

IMO the 9500 with its autotune memories and ability to handle SWR up
to 3:1 without a tuner make it the best RTTY contest amp available
with the possible exception of the Prometheus which costs twice as
much and only has a SWR range of 2:1.
