Rarely is tube replacement cost an issue except where the tube is fragile ans expensive. When I purchased my 76A those 3CX400s were "relatively" inexpensive, but now dollar per watt they are very expensive. Quality, imported 8877s are now relatively inexpensive, but with so few amps using the 3CX400, I seriously doubt imports will become available.

An even better reason than "the Donald" to move to Canada.

My ideal amp would be and automated 3 x 3-500Z, 160m to 6m. $500 total for brand new replacement tubes.
