In the cobwebs of my memory I have a vague notion that the
Transworld amp is associated with the Metron amp - is that
correct?

I have the Metron PDF.

I'm sure that somewhere I have the user manual for the TW500 mobile
version. If I can find it and get any spare time over the holiday I'll
run it through the scanner.

In answer to Emile's original question - I imagine the main part of the
'FSK option' is a LOT of extra cooling.

For any that are interested I sent a manual and some information
attachment
to Emile that covers my TW1000A that is basically two TW500A
amplifiers in
one cabinet with input and output combiners. Transworld was sold to
Datron
World Communications some years ago and was still supporting and
servicing
Transworld amplifiers when they did a repair on mine in 2009. I do
not have
a manual for the TW500A and suggested he try Datron but I hope someone
else
here can help him since what I sent him is similar but not exactly
what her
has. They are great amplifiers and were used in US Consulates all
over the
world and have full coverage from 1.8 to 30 Mhz all solid state.

Subject: [Amps] TRANS WORLD TW500A-RM

Hi

I have recently acquired an old Trans World TW500A-RM solid state
amplifier.

This is the rack mount version of this 500W amplifier.

It is a very basic amplifier with absolutely no fancy electronics.
The rack
mount version was made to only switch bands via a remote switch.
However,
one of the previous owners installed a band selector switch on the front
panel.

Very little information on this amplifier is available on the Internet.

In the operator's and technical manual I found on the Internet, it is
mentioned that the "FSK Option" should be installed for high duty cycle
operation such as FSK and CW. I cannot find any information on this "FSK
Option". How would I know if this option is installed in the amplifier I
have?

Also, if anyone out there can point me in the right direction to find
more
information on this amplifier, I would really appreciate your help.
