Nope ... that 500 KW was carrier power as is typical for AM broadcast.
My memory is that the 500 kW rig was only on the air briefly in the
overnight period for testing. I think I remember that it was built
pre-WWII, and that once the war started, the plan to grant that license
halted. But don't take this to the bank -- it's been almost 60 years. :)
