I've been pulling transformers from microwave ovens since the early 80's.

I've yet to see the switching mode HV supplies I've heard about.

Anyone seen these, or have an example?

I've also heard that some ovens went to solid state RF generators, to 
replace magnatrons.  Anyone have, or seen any of these?
